Five Courses, Five Beers...

"It was as natural as eating and, to me, as necessary. I would not have thought of eating a meal without drinking a beer." - Ernest Hemingway

On May 29 at The Euro experience the inspiration behind Hemmingway’s mantra when the culinary creatives at The Euro deliver the perfect marriage between fine food, and boutique beer. This is a truly unique beer and food experience: five courses expertly matched with the perfect beers. It sounds perfect... So if you are in Brisbane be sure to get yourself along to this excellent event.

Course # 1 is Binchotangrilled, local tiger prawn, chilli and fennel salt matched with the famous Fosters. Following this is half char-grilled spatchcock, silken polenta, sage noisette, walnuts and lemon matched with the Spanish Estrella Inedit. Course # 3 is crisp sticky pork trotter, pickled tongue, soft egg and persillade matched with Brasserie du Bocq, Blanche de Namur from France. Then, glazed wagyu beef rib, potato mousse, onion crisp, nasturtium matched with Norway’s Haandbryggeriet Heandbakk, before a lambic kreik sorbet palette cleanser from Belgium. The final course – dessert of course – is warm cocoa in different textures and percentages, matched with Australia’s Holgate Temptress.
