The Fireplace at Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove Hosts Moa Beer Dinner

The Fireplace at Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove is pleased to present its first and exceptionally rare Beer Dinner, in partnership with award-winning craft beer Moa Brewery Co. on Friday, 14 September.

Founded in 2003 by Josh Scott, Moa is a unique brewery located in the famous winemaking region of Marlborough, New Zealand. Moa beer is fastidiously handcrafted using traditional approaches and winemaking techniques such as bottle fermentation and conditioning (similar to champagne), and barrel aging.

This exclusive methodology yields varied and complex flavours that can be matched to complement other tastes and senses, creating the perfect platform for a Beer Maker's Dinner.

Diners at the Moa Beer Dinner will enjoy a delicious four-course dinner created by The Fireplace Head Sous Chef Obie Faulkner, that complements the Moa beer's chosen for the evening.

"This was certainly one of the more challenging and unusual menu designs we have had to create, but I think the end result is something that will be delicious and very different.

"Our focus on high-quality, local produce has remained a priority throughout the menu and the evening is sure to be an unforgettable experience for diners," he said.

For $110, enjoy pre-dinner drinks from 6.30pm, serving a Moa Reserve St Joseph's Breakfast.

The degustation then begins at 7pm with a cold entrée of Hervey Bay scallop tartare, horseradish, compressed cucumber, pancetta soil, nasturtium leaves to complement a Moa Estate Blanc (wheat Lager), followed by a hot entrée of Spring lamb, truffled gnocchi, green asparagus veloute, flame grape and pinenut salsa, along with Moa Reserve St Joseph's (Belgian Tripel).

Guests will then indulge in a main course of Oxtail ravioli, milk fed veal sweetbreads, creamed spinach, pickled beetroot, accompanied by Moa Reserve Noir (Dark Larger). To finish, a dessert of Gianduja chocolate pudding, chocolate ice cream, chocolate glass tulle, creamy chocolate and raspberry truffle mousse will be served with Moa Reserve (Imperial Stout), before the palate sensation is completed with a cheese buffet consisting of Australian cheeses, crostini and muscatels.

An event not to be missed, the Moa Beer Dinner at The Fireplace, Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove will be an exciting and new experience for ardent food lovers. Bookings are essential, so phone (07) 5501 9832 to secure your seat, or email [email protected].
