Jimmys Farm Series on DVD - Review

Even though Jimmy’s Farm was produced back in 1994, this DVD series still has a lot to offer. Much like his mate Jamie Oliver (and also investor in Jimmy’s new venture), Jimmy has all the charm and passion to keep you hooked as you watch him pursue his dream of leaving his PHD studies to set up a farm that breeds rare pigs in the English countryside and produce and sell gourmet sausages at the local farmers markets. Idyllic? Yes. Easy? No.

This series has all the usual ingredients of a reality style TV series as you follow his highs and lows in setting up the farm, with his biggest problem being a complete lack of farming experience amongst other things. Farm life is definitely not as easy as it looks.

Jimmy’s Farm is for those of you who dream of a tree change and life in the country, with a little dose of reality thrown in for good measure. In this series, Jimmy reveals just how hard it is to bring home the bacon.
