Conrad Maldives Collects Two Awards

Conrad Maldives Voted 'Most Innovative Spa' At Asia Spa Awards and receives Agoda 'Gold Circle Of Excellence'.

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island collected two very different awards this week: firstly its Over-Water Spa was voted Asia's "Most Innovative Spa" by a panel of judges at the annual Asia Spa awards and, secondly, the resort itself was awarded 'Gold Circle of Excellence' by the online global booking website Agoda as a mark of excellence.

"Conrad Maldives offers a genuine health and wellbeing sanctuary with three different spas on our two islands," said Spa Manager Missy Dowell. "We're delighted to receive this award for the Over-Water Spa and to see its innovative treatments acknowledged by industry experts."

Treatments at the Over-Water Spa, one of three spas at the luxury resort, have been designed by the iconic Doris Brügger, the creator of the eponymous Dorissima spa line. The stand-out treatments in the range are undoubtedly the Siddhartha couple's treatments, created specifically to attract love. Sensual aromas of vanilla, tonka bean and grapefruit fill the air during the Art of Love ritual, which ends with a glass of champagne in the Over-Water Spa's delightful spa garden.

Also available at the Over-Water Spa is the Dorissima d1 - d7 line, created after years of extensive research and development. This highly sophisticated line consists of seven absolutely natural products (from natural oils such as Jojoba oil, essential oils and natural colours) in seven colours that relate to the seven chakras, each chakra of course addressing a specific area of concern. Designed to offer a combination of both physical and mental wellbeing, each of the seven rituals begins with a series of calming breathing exercises while the client repeats the mantra they are given for the particular treatment chosen. Especially selected herbal teas, positive affirmations, colour therapy, music, hot stones, shirodhara, hot wraps, reiki or light therapy may feature in the treatment.

These awards are just the latest in a number the luxury resort has collected in the past few months including being voted "Best Spa Hotel and Resort" in Asia by www.smarttravelasia.com, winning first place ranking in "101 Best Suites in the World" by Elite Traveler magazine and achieving the coveted 'two glasses' ranking for 'Best Restaurants for Wine Lovers' by Wine Spectator magazine.
