Isabella's at Rochford Wines, Showcases New Winter Menu!


Rochford Wines Head-chef Ciaran Butler has drawn on his Irish heritage to create a hearty and delicious new Winter menu at Isabella’s @ Rochford Wines which is sure to delight your taste buds and banish those winter blues!

Amongst many traditional stables and favourites returning to the popular Yarra Valley dining spot -- Isabella’s @ Rochford Wines -- the new Winter menu showcases Galway Bay Free Range Pork - a new product that is featured in a variety of dishes throughout the new seasonal menu.

Galway Bay’s Free Range Pork can be found in the following new Winter dishes:
Pork cheek & scallop - Galway bay free range heritage breed black pig cheek with diver scallop black garlic puree and dashi jelly and Pork fillet roulade - Galway bay free range heritage breed black pork fillet roulade with Yarra valley chestnut and apple stuffing Dobson colcannon potato mash & Coldstream brussel sprouts Rochford pinot & pork jus.

Irish-born Butler -- who received his Australian citizenship only yesterday -- learnt his craft from one of Ireland’s most celebrated chefs – John Kelly –and worked in several Michelin star restaurants throughout Europe and Asia before settling in Australia with his family.

Ciaran has also worked closely with Rochford’s team of wine experts to select the perfect wine companion for each new Winter menu item. Open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week, the new Winter Menu also showcases hearty new winter-inspired dishes such as:-


Mushroom & barley soup - Shitake mushroom, sherry & barley soup

Wagyu rump steak - 200g grade nine Darling Downs Wagyu rump steaks with bubble & squeak, calvero Nero Rochford pinot-noir jus.

Confit duck - Yarra Valley duck leg with fondant potato, pickled red cabbage, game chips & plum jus

Beetroot & fetta gnocchi - Dobson potato gnocchi with winter beets, spinach & Yarra valley Persian fetta
