Celebrity Chef for a Day Cooking Competition

Wine.Food.Hotel turns amateur chefs into food celebrities with their ‘Celebrity Chef for a Day’ competition

Wine.Food.Hotel has officially launched their search for Victoria’s next Celebrity Chef and budding celebrity chefs are invited to screen test their ambitions in a friendly competition run by video sharing website winefoodhotel.com.

The Celebrity Chef for a Day competition, culminating at Melbourne's HIA Home Show on Sunday April 11, is in its second year of trying to help unearth new cooking talent.

Entrants first submit their own cooking video, no longer than five minutes, showcasing their skills and personality to our site before the 30th March 2010.

Five finalists will then be invited to be professionally filmed doing their thing on stage before an audience at the home show - it's fun and there are heaps of prizes. Submit your video online using the entry form on our promotions page.

Prizes include a weekend for two at the exclusive Villa Gusto boutique hideaway in the Buckland Valley, complete with a deluxe suite, five-course degustation dinner and breakfast. Other prizes include a personal tour of the Buckland Valley and Bright hosted by winefoodhotel.com, vouchers to dine at Mezzo Bar & Grill and Esposito, wine from Lethbridge and Elgo Estate, plus heaps more.

To submit your video and view the prize visit the promotions section of our website.

Last year’s winner
Last year’s winner, Jesse McLaren, has continued to pursue his passion for cooking and is starring in the upcoming series of Come Dine with Me on the Lifestyle Channel and is a regular video blogger/reviewer for winefoodhotel.com.
