Il Fornaio Hosts Dinner with Gembrook Hill and The Wanderer

Special new release dinner with Gembrook Hill & The Wanderer at il Fornaio.
The Marks family are considered one of the Yarra Valley’s leading lights, creating wines with great charm and style. Join Ian, June and son Andrew as they get generous showcasing their latest release wines, from labels Gembrook Hill and The Wanderer.
Of particular note is Gembrook Hill’s superb and much-lauded Blanc de Blancs, of which the 2006 vintage will be featured, and is available in quite limited supply. Andrew is co-winemaker at Gembrook Hill but also creates his own wines under ‘The Wanderer’ label, and an event highlight will be the tasting of his new foreign interloper ‘El Wanderer’ - a wine made from the Spanish red varietal carinyena (2008 vintage).
Renowned pastry chef, Philippa Sibley, is now Executive Chef at Melbourne’s iconic il Fornaio in St Kilda. For this unique dinner, Phillipa’s classic and nuanced bistro fare will be tailored to fit the wines hand in glove, presenting a wonderful evening of flavour, texture and substance not easily forgotten.
